Afcons Infrastructure has secured a Letter of Award (LoA) from Vadhvan Port Project Ltd (VPPL) for the construction of a 10.14-km-long breakwater at the upcoming Vadhvan Port in Maharashtra. The project is valued at approximately ₹5,301 crore and represents a key development in India’s expanding maritime infrastructure landscape.
Vadhvan Port is planned to be India’s largest public port and one of the world’s major container handling hubs, with a proposed capacity of 23.2 million TEUs. Once operational, it is expected to significantly strengthen India’s global trade connectivity and enhance the efficiency of shipping and logistics operations.
The project further reinforces Afcons Infrastructure’s expertise in executing complex marine and port infrastructure projects, both in India and internationally. The latest contract win strengthens the company’s position in large-scale coastal engineering works and underscores its capabilities in delivering technically challenging infrastructure in demanding marine environments.
