Agneyastra’s ₹1,500-Cr Defence Mega-Plant Coming to AP

Kalyani Strategic Systems’s wholly owned subsidiary, Agneyastra Energetics, has announced the groundbreaking of its ₹1,500-crore strategic defence manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh.

The integrated manufacturing campus will be developed across more than 1,000 acres near Madakasira in Sri Sathya Sai district over the next two to four years. According to the company, the project is expected to create around 800 direct jobs and approximately 2,500 indirect employment opportunities, contributing to regional economic development.

The company stated that the facility is being designed with advanced manufacturing technologies and specialised logistics infrastructure. Once operational, the plant is expected to strengthen India’s indigenous capabilities in advanced energetics and ammunition systems, which are considered critical for modern defence and aerospace applications.
