During the question hour in the Assembly on March 17, 2025, the government informed the House that the six-laning project of the Ahmedabad-Rajkot Highway is expected to be completed by December this year.
In response to queries from Rajkot MLA Darshita Shah regarding the project's timeline and status, Minister Jagdish Vishwakarma stated that 193 km out of the total 197 km have already been completed in the first phase. The remaining work, part of the Rs 3,350 crore project, is set to be finished by December.
Additionally, the state government announced the approval of Rs 550 crore for the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway, which will connect the proposed international airport to Ahmedabad city. Responding to a query from Dhandhuka MLA Kalubhai Dabhi, the government confirmed that construction work is in progress.
