The Centre has given the green light for constructing AIIMS in Darbhanga, Bihar, aiming to enhance the region's healthcare infrastructure. Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey emphasized the project's importance, underscoring its potential to generate substantial employment and drive regional growth. The Centre's letter, dated 25 July, confirmed the site's feasibility and outlined essential requirements such as electricity, road connectivity, and water supply.
To complement AIIMS, plans for a new 2,500-bed hospital at Darbhanga Medical College are underway. This development will further expand medical facilities in the region, offering advanced healthcare services to the local population.
