Amara Raja Infra Private Limited (ARIPL) has proudly announced the successful commissioning of NTPC's Anta Solar PV Project, a landmark achievement in the renewable energy sector. Officially completed on August 9, 2024, this 90 MW/135 MWp project is the first Balance of System (BoS) Solar contract awarded in 2021 by a Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU).
Located on a 437-acre site in Anta, Baran District, Rajasthan, the Anta Solar PV Project is integrated into NTPC’s existing gas-fired thermal power station. The facility is set to generate 213 million units of green energy annually, marking a significant addition to ARIPL’s 2000 MW Solar PV portfolio. This project is part of a broader initiative to support the evacuation of over 7500 MW of renewable energy through EHV Sub-Stations and transmission lines across India.
NTPC Ltd., India's largest integrated power utility, plays a critical role in meeting a quarter of the country's power needs, with a diverse portfolio spanning thermal, hydro, solar, and wind power plants.
Dwarakanadha Reddy B, Business Head (Power EPC) at ARIPL, highlighted that this milestone reflects the company’s technical prowess and successful project execution. He emphasized that the project, supported by NTPC, advances India's renewable energy transition and reinforces ARIPL’s position in the clean energy sector.
