AMC and REPL Collaborate on Akkalkot's Transformation

The Akkalkot Municipal Council (AMC) has commissioned Rudrabhishek Enterprises (REPL) to provide consultancy services for the development of the proposed Akkalkot Tirtha Kshetra in Solapur, Maharashtra. This collaboration encompasses various tasks such as surveys, drafting a detailed project report (DPR), and offering technical assistance throughout the bidding process and construction phase for the development in Akkalkot.

The project aims to enhance infrastructure in the region, including road development, street infrastructure, repairs, and the establishment of terminal infrastructure for vehicles and parking facilities. Additionally, the plan encompasses the creation of parks, gardens, development of a lakeshore, and the establishment of business centers or guest houses catering to pilgrims. With a focus on the Swami Samarth Mandir mission, the designated city area spans 1,023 acres, with 30 percent dedicated to the Akkalkot Temple and its immediate vicinity. This initiative, referred to as the Akkalkot Teerth Kshetra Development, aims to comprehensively revamp the infrastructure of the region.

The primary objective is to stimulate the growth of ancillary services such as hospitality, guided tours, and handicrafts within the communities surrounding religious sites, thereby fostering a sustainable economic landscape in Akkalkot. This initiative also presents business opportunities for local residents and seeks to bolster the prospects of existing businesses in the area.

REPL, with its extensive experience, has been involved in several flagship projects including Smart City initiatives, PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana), Skill India, and AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation) across multiple locations in various capacities. In Maharashtra, the company is already engaged in PMAY projects in Pune and is working with the Pune Municipal Corporation on constructing over two thousand dwelling units in Mumbai under the Ashray Yojana for the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM).
