Ami Organics Electrolytes Fuels Lithium-Ion Innovation

Ami Organics Electrolytes has initiated its regular commercial operations, focusing on the manufacturing and supply of products tailored for lithium-ion battery cells. These cells find application in a diverse range of electronic devices such as smartphones, laptops, electric vehicles (EVs), energy storage systems (ESS), and other portable electronic devices. Notably, Ami Organics' lithium-ion business operates as a distinct division situated in Noida.

Established as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ami Organics a couple of years ago, the company has expanded its reach across the EVs and semiconductor ecosystem. Collaborating with a supplier to Divi’s Lab and certain European pharma manufacturers, it plays a pivotal role in the semiconductor and EV cycle.

Earlier, the company had unveiled two innovative products: a liquid electrolyte additive designed to enhance the electrolyte capacity of lithium batteries, and another for solid batteries. In December 2023, Ami Organics announced the inauguration of a new greenfield manufacturing facility in Ankleshwar, Gujarat, with an investment of approximately Rs 200 crore. This strategic initiative underscores the company's commitment to strengthening its presence in the advanced pharmaceutical intermediates sector.
