Aonla Distilleries: From Grain to Green Energy in Uttar Pradesh

The Grain-Based Distillery Unit Project, which is being undertaken by Aonla Distilleries Private Limited in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, is a noteworthy investment amounting to ₹79 Crores. This project serves to emphasize the company's dedication to the manufacture of ethanol and the management of waste.

To meet the ever-increasing demand for ethanol in India, the project, which is situated in the village of Jainpur Kadarabad, intends to make use of grains such as corn, wheat, or broken rice in order to generate sixty thousand liters per day (KLPD) of alcohol.

Additionally, the trash that is produced during the distillation process will be utilized as fuel by the co-generation power plant that has a capacity of 2 megawatts. This will promote both sustainability and resource efficiency.

Although the project has the potential to generate employment opportunities and make a positive contribution to the economy of the surrounding area, there are knowledge gaps concerning particular aspects such as the timeline of the project and the technology that will be utilized. These gaps require further investigation in order to achieve a thorough understanding.
