Assam's Public Works Department (PWD) is taking a major step toward strengthening regional healthcare and medical education with a tender for a new medical college and hospital in the Goalpara district.
Set to be built in Agia, the campus will support an annual admission capacity of 100 medical students. By combining state-of-the-art academic blocks with comprehensive patient care facilities, the project aims to bridge healthcare gaps in the region. Contractors interested in executing this vital infrastructure project must submit their bids by September 17, 2026.
