Aster DM: 5 Centres, ₹120 Cr. for Free Cancer Fight

Aster DM Healthcare has announced a ₹120 crore initiative to establish five advanced Oncology Radiation LINAC Centres across India, aimed at offering free or subsidised cancer treatment to underprivileged patients. The first centre will be set up in Wayanad, Kerala, serving the wider Malabar region, with additional centres planned in Bengaluru and other cities over the next three years based on regional needs.

Founder and Chairman Dr. Azad Moopen highlighted that the initiative aims to close critical gaps in oncology care by providing timely, life-saving radiation therapy closer to patients’ homes. The centres will form part of Aster Volunteers, the company’s global CSR programme focused on community health and socio-economic support.
