AURIC Allots Plots, Attracts Over ₹200 Cr. in Investment

The Shendra-Bidkin Industrial Area, branded as AURIC (Aurangabad Industrial City) in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, has approved fresh allotments of industrial plots to a range of companies across diverse sectors—including specialty food ingredients, paper products, electronics manufacturing, road construction equipment, and alloy casting.

Developed under the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC), AURIC is India's first integrated Greenfield Smart Industrial City. The allotments were approved by the Land Allotment Committee, comprising officials from Maharashtra Industrial Township Ltd. (MITL) and NICDC, after evaluating proposals under the Priority and Expansion categories. Selection criteria included project viability, investment size, land requirement, and employment potential.

Together, the newly approved projects represent over ₹200 crore in investments and are projected to generate around 1,000 jobs.

Key approvals include:

Science for Society Techno Services – Granted a 37,388 sq.m. plot in Sector 12 with Mega Project status to set up a ₹104 crore specialty food ingredient plant with a zero-liquid discharge facility.

Lonbest India – Allotted a 37,388.70 sq.m. plot, also in Sector 12, for an electronics manufacturing system unit with a planned investment of ₹110 crore and employment for approximately 500 people.

Expansion approvals – Granted to existing units such as Su-Tantra Paper Products, Alankar Engineering Equipments, and Varad Alloy Casting to support scaling operations within the industrial zone.

These developments reinforce AURIC’s growing reputation as a hub for advanced manufacturing and sustainable industrial growth in Maharashtra.
