Banjara Hills’ AINU Levels Up: Advanced Units Now Open

Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology (AINU), Banjara Hills, has launched its newly revamped Inpatient (IP) Block, aimed at enhancing patient comfort and convenience while delivering advanced medical care.

The upgraded facility was inaugurated by V C Sajjanar, IPS and Commissioner of Police. The IP Block now includes specialised services such as a Uro-Oncology Chemotherapy Unit for patients undergoing treatment for urological cancers. It also features an advanced Urodynamic Study (UDS) unit and Video UDS to diagnose and evaluate complex bladder and urinary disorders.

To support short-stay procedures, the hospital has introduced an eight-bed Urology Daycare Unit. In addition, the upgraded services include a high-end Acute Kidney Care unit and Interventional Nephrology facilities that enable minimally invasive procedures for treating kidney-related conditions.

The revamp also focuses on improved space utilisation, accessibility, and creating a calming environment that supports healing. According to Dr Mallikarjuna C, Managing Director, Chief Consultant Urologist and Robotic Surgeon at AINU Banjara Hills, the advanced Acute Kidney Care unit is designed to deliver timely and specialised treatment for patients with critical kidney conditions.

He added that the integration of Interventional Nephrology allows the hospital to offer minimally invasive procedures that enable faster diagnosis, precise treatment, and improved patient outcomes, reinforcing AINU’s commitment to comprehensive and high-quality urological and nephrological care.
