Beautifully Intelligent: L’Oréal’s New ₹3,500 Cr Tech Hub

L’Oréal is set to inaugurate its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad later this year, with an investment of ₹3,500 crore planned by 2030.

The facility will be the world’s first beauty-tech hub, focusing on AI-powered beauty solutions. It is expected to generate 2,000 high-skilled jobs, including roles for AI specialists and data scientists, while driving L’Oréal’s global digital transformation. Announcing the initiative at the World Economic Forum in Davos, CEO Nicolas Hieronimus described the centre as a global innovation and technology hub that will provide tech solutions for L’Oréal’s operations worldwide.

Telangana officials, including Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, expressed strong support for the project and encouraged L’Oréal to explore a manufacturing unit in the state. Hieronimus also highlighted Hyderabad’s rising prominence as a global enterprise destination, calling the hub a “flagship for the next generation of AI-powered beauty innovation and services.”
