BEML Powers Up: Secures ₹110 Crore Defense Engine Order

State-owned Bharat Earth Movers Ltd (BEML) has secured an order valued at approximately ₹110 crore from the Ministry of Defence for the supply of engines, reinforcing its presence in defence manufacturing.

The order follows another significant contract worth ₹157 crore that BEML recently received from Loram Rail Maintenance India Private Ltd for the manufacture of switch rail grinding machines. These machines will be supplied to Indian Railways and deployed for track maintenance and upkeep operations.

On the financial front, BEML reported a moderation in its consolidated performance for the second quarter ended September 30, 2025. The company posted a 5.8 per cent decline in consolidated profit to ₹48.03 crore, compared with ₹51.03 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, primarily due to lower income.
