On October 30, the Karnataka Cabinet approved projects worth ₹2,296 crore under the Greater Bengaluru Action Plan (GBA) to address the city’s worsening infrastructure challenges.
As part of the plan, ₹1,241.57 crore has been earmarked for road asphalting and other developmental works across five urban corporations included in the GBA. Additionally, ₹1,055 crore will be allocated for ward-level infrastructure upgrades under the Chief Minister’s Development Scheme.
The Cabinet also approved the establishment of eight new Technology Business Incubators (TBIs) 2.0 across various districts, with a total outlay of ₹80 crore, to promote innovation and nurture tech startups.
Furthermore, land compensation for the Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM) project in Bengaluru has been fixed at ₹1.5 crore per acre.
