The Building Construction Department of Bihar has opened bids for a new cultural landmark in Vaishali: the "Buddha Samyak Darshan Sangrahalya - Artefacts & Sculptures" museum. This initiative, estimated at Rs 68.04 crore, aims to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the region through historical artifacts and sculptures.
The museum, coupled with the Smriti Stupa, promises to offer a comprehensive platform dedicated to Buddha and the legacy of Vaishali. Bidders have until July 31st, 2024, to submit proposals for the project, which is slated for completion within 12 months from commencement.
This endeavor is expected to significantly enhance cultural infrastructure in Vaishali, attracting tourists and scholars alike. It marks a pivotal step towards preserving and promoting the historical and cultural significance of the region.
