"Bihar's ₹800 Crore Boost: Shah Launches Mega Projects"

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple Central and state government projects worth over ₹800 crore in Patna, Bihar, on March 30, 2025. The event was attended by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai.

Key initiatives included the foundation stone laying for a ₹83.16 crore project to develop a storage capacity of 62,500 tonnes across 25 PACS under the world's largest food storage scheme. Additionally, ₹181.14 crore was allocated for the construction of 133 police buildings under the Home Department. Infrastructure projects from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) amounting to ₹109.16 crore were also initiated.

A newly constructed hostel at the Deep Narayan Singh Regional Cooperative Management Institute in Patna, built at a cost of ₹27.29 crore, was inaugurated.

Other inaugurated projects included a ₹46 lakh Makhana processing and marketing center under the Integrated Cooperative Development Project, along with 11 warehouses worth ₹2.27 crore. Furthermore, five drinking water supply schemes under the AMRUT-1 project of the Urban Housing and Development Department, valued at ₹421.41 crore, were also inaugurated.
