The Bombay High Court has upheld the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation’s (MSRDC) approval of MGSA Realty’s proposed integrated logistics park along the Samruddhi Mahamarg.
The project, estimated at ₹2,300 crore, will span 167 hectares (423 acres) across four villages and is expected to generate around 10,000 direct jobs. A division bench of Justices R.I. Chagla and Farhan Dubhash dismissed a petition filed by Bhadane Industrial and Logistics Parks and two other firms challenging MSRDC’s approval granted to MGSA Realty on 30 September 2024.
The petitioners contended that their own proposal, submitted 15 months earlier, had been overlooked, while MGSA’s proposal was cleared “within just 40 days.” MSRDC, however, clarified that every proposal was evaluated by a high-level committee, with detailed assessments submitted to the Board for consideration.
