Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) has commissioned its first LPG bottling facility in Assam and the North-East region, located in Matia, Goalpara.
This infrastructure milestone marks the commencement of commercial operations at the plant, highlighted by the ceremonial flag-off of its inaugural packed LPG truck into BPCL’s distribution network. Designed to enhance regional supply chain efficiency, the facility ensures faster turnaround times and optimized last-mile delivery.
The Matia plant will directly serve approximately 500,000 households across Assam, bolstering reliable access to clean cooking fuel and supporting escalating local energy demands.
