BSH Home Appliances, a leading German appliance manufacturer, is enhancing its footprint in India’s small domestic appliances sector with the introduction of mixer juicers, air fryers, and floor care products. The company is also focusing on strengthening its retail presence. Known for its premium offerings, BSH is capitalizing on rising incomes and growing demand for high-performance products.
Segments like front-load washing machines, cooling appliances, and dishwashers are gaining momentum. BSH has recorded consistent double-digit year-on-year growth and aims to maintain this pace. The company currently operates 83 Bosch stores and 20 Siemens stores across India and plans to expand into over 100 cities. Its brand portfolio includes Gaggenau for luxury consumers, and Bosch & Siemens for mainstream premium buyers. Another priority is increasing dishwasher adoption in India, where the penetration rate is only 0.3 percent.
Since 2014, BSH has been manufacturing laundry care products locally in Chennai and expanded to cooling appliances in 2021. To mitigate global supply chain risks, 75 percent of its sourcing is local, with materials like steel and plastics procured from Indian suppliers.
