Captain Polyplast has commenced production at its newly developed manufacturing facility near Ahmedabad, marking a significant expansion of its manufacturing capabilities.
The new plant spans 70,000 sq. ft. within a larger 3,30,000 sq. ft. land parcel and is designed to substantially increase production capacity for micro-irrigation products such as driplines, sprinklers, and HDPE pipes. A key focus of the facility is backward integration, allowing the company to manufacture critical components in-house that were previously outsourced.
According to Captain Polyplast, the expansion is expected to improve operational efficiencies, strengthen margins, and support long-term profitability. The large site area also provides flexibility for future capacity expansion and additional capital investment.
The Ahmedabad facility complements the company’s existing manufacturing units in Rajkot and Kurnool, enhancing its ability to address growing demand across domestic and international markets.
By internalising key manufacturing processes, Captain Polyplast aims to strengthen supply chain control and improve its competitive position in the polymer and irrigation sectors while continuing to promote water-efficient agricultural solutions.
Commenting on the development, Ritesh Khichadia stated that the new facility is central to the company’s backward integration strategy and will significantly improve cost structures, margins, and the ability to serve rising demand in the micro-irrigation business.
