The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved Cube Highways and Infrastructure V’s (Cube V) proposed acquisition of road asset businesses operated by four infrastructure companies.
The transaction involves the indirect acquisition of highway and road assets from Dinesh Chandra Yamuna Infra, Dinesh Chandra Vaishnodevi Infra, Dinesh Chandra Giriraj Infra, and Dineshchandra Trans-Eastern Highways. These companies operate road and highway projects across India under concession agreements with government authorities.
Cube V, registered as a foreign portfolio investor with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), focuses on acquiring, operating, and managing high-quality highway and transportation infrastructure assets in India. Through this acquisition, the company aims to expand its portfolio of toll roads and strengthen its presence in the country’s road infrastructure sector.
The assets involved in the deal are currently managed by the respective companies and include the operation and maintenance of key highway stretches. With the CCI’s approval in place, the transaction represents another step in Cube Highways’ strategy to grow its footprint in India’s expanding infrastructure market.
