Ceigall India Secures ₹572 Crore Solar Boost via New Subsidiary

Ceigall Green Energy MP, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ceigall India, has signed 15 Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with the Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company (MPPMCL) for a total solar capacity of 130 MW under the Surya Mitra Krishi Feeder Yojana.

The agreements involve the development of solar photovoltaic projects that will supply electricity over a period of 25 years at a tariff of ₹2.85 per unit. The projects are estimated to cost approximately ₹572 crore, including GST, and are expected to be completed within 12 months. Once commissioned, they will enter a 25-year operational phase covering implementation, operation, and maintenance.

These projects are aimed at providing reliable daytime electricity to the agricultural sector through dedicated solar feeders, thereby improving energy access and stability in rural areas.

Commenting on the development, Ramneek Sehgal, Chairman and Managing Director of Ceigall India, stated that the signing of all 15 PPAs marks a significant milestone in strengthening the company’s presence in India’s renewable energy sector. He added that the Surya Mitra Krishi Feeder Yojana is a key initiative supporting clean and reliable energy, and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to developing sustainable, high-quality solar assets that contribute to India’s long-term energy transition.
