Chalet's Rs 300 Cr Invests for Luxury Hotel at Delhi Airport

Chalet Hotels is set to invest approximately Rs 300 crore in a new luxury hotel situated at Terminal-3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in New Delhi. The development will be executed through a warm shell lease arrangement between Chalet Hotels and Delhi International Airport, with plans for the hotel to commence operations by the end of FY26.

Under a franchising agreement with Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), the hotel will carry the prestigious Taj brand, while Chalet Hotels assumes responsibility for day-to-day operations. Utilizing 3,00,000 sq. ft. of built-up area, the hotel is expected to accommodate roughly 390 rooms.

Earlier this year, Chalet Airport Hotel, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chalet Hotels, finalized a franchise agreement for this airport-based hotel with IHCL. Additionally, the company, acting as a developer and asset manager, is scheduled to commence the construction of a Hyatt Regency hotel in Airoli, Navi Mumbai, next year. Further expansions include the addition of 130 guest rooms at Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield and 80 rooms at Novotel Pune.

Of note, the company recently launched the nation's first all-women-run hotel, The Westin Hyderabad HITEC City, this year.
