Chaman Food Park to build Processed Food Project in Haryana

Chaman Food Park is developing a new agro-processing cluster project at Shugalpur, Kaithal, Haryana. The project aims to create a centralized hub for processing and value addition of agricultural produce, particularly fruits and vegetables. This will help to reduce post-harvest losses, enhance the shelf life of produce, and create additional employment opportunities in the region. Total cost of the project is 34 Crores.

Primary focus: the preparation of fruits and vegetables  Reducing post-harvest losses, increasing shelf life, and creating job opportunities are the goals. a decrease in post-harvest losses, which ultimately results in an increase in revenue for farmers.
Increased shelf life of vegetables, less food waste, and enhanced market access are all benefits of this program. The promotion of economic development in the area by means of a rise in agricultural production and processing the enhancement of the availability of processed food items, which contributes to the improvement of food security.

As on November 2023,The project is now in the stage of receiving approvals. The project has received all necessary clearances. By the end of the year 2023, development on the project will have begun.
