Cochin Shipyard and CUSAT's ₹3.53 Crore Partnership

Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) and Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Shipbuilding Technology.

As part of the agreement, CSL will provide ₹3.53 crore to fund the creation of the center, which will be located on the university's campus.

The new center aims to "bridge the gap between the shipbuilding industry and academia," according to a press release from CUSAT. The collaboration will focus on advancing software development, skill enhancement, upskilling, and digitalization within the shipbuilding sector.
