Collins Aerospace, a subsidiary of RTX, has inaugurated a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at the KIADB Aerospace Park in Bengaluru, following an investment of USD 100 million.
Spread across 26 acres, the facility will initially manufacture a range of aerospace components including seats, lighting systems, cargo equipment, temperature sensors, and evacuation slides. It will integrate advanced manufacturing technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and additive manufacturing to enhance efficiency and precision. By 2026, the facility is expected to employ over 2,200 people and support production for more than 70 Collins Aerospace products globally.
This facility forms part of Collins Aerospace’s broader USD 250 million investment plan in India, reaffirming the company’s long-term commitment to the region. With nearly three decades of presence in India, Collins Aerospace continues to expand its operations across manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain functions, currently employing over 6,500 professionals nationwide.
