Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals is set to establish a ₹375 crore greenfield manufacturing facility at E-City in Maheshwaram, Hyderabad, marking a major expansion of its domestic production footprint.
The Telangana government has allotted around 50 acres near Hyderabad International Airport for the project, which is planned as one of the world’s largest fan manufacturing plants with an annual capacity of approximately 1.4 crore units.
The facility will be developed in phases, initially manufacturing induction and energy-efficient BLDC ceiling fans, along with table, wall and pedestal fans. Subsequent phases will add pumps, mixer grinders and a centralised motor plant.
The project is expected to create around 3,500 direct jobs and is targeted to begin operations next year, with groundbreaking planned around Vijayadashmi.
