AM Group, backed by the founders of Greenko Group, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to establish a USD 25 billion Artificial Intelligence (AI) compute hub in Greater Noida.
The announcement was made at the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos, marking one of the largest investments in India’s digital infrastructure to date. Designed to handle global AI workloads, the project will be developed in phases, with the first phase expected to be operational by 2028. By 2030, the facility aims to achieve its full capacity of one gigawatt, accommodating approximately 500,000 high-performance chipsets. The hub will provide critical computing infrastructure for technology companies, research institutions, and will play a significant role in advancing India’s AI ecosystem.
Sustainability is a core focus of the project, with the facility set to operate entirely on carbon-free energy sourced from solar, wind, and pumped storage power. Highlighting the project’s long-term impact, Chairman Anil Chalamalasetty stated that the evolution of the global AI ecosystem will be crucial for future generations.
