The Delhi Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, has approved the establishment of two Common Facility Centres (CFCs) in the Badli and Bawana industrial areas, involving a total investment of Rs 60 crore.
The project will be implemented under the Union government’s Micro and Small Enterprises–Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP). The CFCs are intended to provide shared industrial infrastructure, enabling micro and small enterprises to access advanced technology and high-cost machinery that may otherwise be unaffordable. Explaining the initiative, Chief Minister Gupta said that the centres would help bridge technology gaps faced by small entrepreneurs, improve ease of doing business, and strengthen industrial clusters in the city.
Each facility is estimated to cost Rs 30 crore and will be equipped with modern machinery, testing laboratories, training centres, and infrastructure aimed at enhancing product quality. The project will also integrate environmentally sustainable features, including effluent treatment systems and support for green production technologies.
