"Developed Cuttack, Developed India: Governor's Ambitious Vision"

Odisha Governor Haribabu Kambhampati, during a recent visit to Cuttack, highlighted the pivotal role of urban development in achieving the broader goal of a developed India. Emphasizing the importance of grassroots transformation, he remarked, “To realize the vision of a developed India, we must first build a developed Cuttack and Odisha.”

The Governor reviewed major development projects and welfare initiatives in the city, urging officials to ensure timely implementation and equitable reach of benefits. Key projects under review included the Mahanadi Riverfront Development, Tarakshi Hub, the SCB Medical College expansion, Chandi Mandir Redevelopment, and restoration of tourism infrastructure at Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Das’s birthplace in Satyabhamapur.

During a meeting with departmental officers, Cuttack Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde updated the Governor on the steady progress of these initiatives, assuring their on-schedule completion.

Governor Kambhampati also underscored the need for stronger implementation of central and state welfare schemes such as PM Awas Yojana, Subhadra Yojana, Mudra Yojana, and Lakhpati Didi Yojana. He called on banks to enhance financial literacy and simplify access to loans and insurance services.

Interacting later with citizens, scheme beneficiaries, and civil society members, the Governor expressed satisfaction with Cuttack’s developmental progress. The visit concluded with participation from senior officials, legislators, and civic leaders.
