Dhampur Sugar Mills Ltd. (DSM) is set to expand its Sugar Mill Unit at Asmoli, Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, aiming to enhance its production capacity. The project involves boosting the unit's capacity by 1,500 TCD (Tonnes Crushing per Day), elevating the existing 9,000 TCD to a total of 10,500 TCD. This expansion contributes to the company's overall capacity increase by 3,000 TCD, reaching a new total of 48,500 TCD.
This expansion initiative by Dhampur Sugar Mills is aimed at meeting the rising demand for sugar in India by augmenting production capacity. The project emphasizes the incorporation of modern technology and more efficient processes, focusing on reducing energy consumption and water usage during sugar production.
Anticipated to create employment opportunities during both construction and operational phases, this project holds the potential to contribute significantly to the economic development of the region by generating revenue and job prospects. The approval by the DSM Board of Directors signals the project's readiness, with construction expected to commence shortly and the timeline indicating completion within a few years.
As on January, 2024. Project has gotten approvals. All approvals were granted. By March 2024, project construction will begin.
