Adani Navbharat Developers (ANDPL), the special purpose vehicle carrying out the Dharavi Redevelopment Project (DRP), has officially commenced construction on the rehabilitation housing phase for eligible Dharavi residents.
The project kicked off with a bhoomi poojan ceremony on October 12, 2026, at the strategically located 22-acre Matunga railway site. Spanning 10 high-rise towers, the development will deliver 10,432 residential units and more than 1,000 commercial and industrial spaces. Each eligible household will receive a 350 sq. ft. apartment under an in-situ rehabilitation model aimed at preserving livelihoods alongside modern housing.
Completed units will be handed over in phased batches to the Dharavi Redevelopment Project and Slum Rehabilitation Authority (DRP/SRA). To ensure global design standards, ANDPL is collaborating with premier global and Indian architecture and engineering consultancies, including Sasaki, Buro Happold, Studio POD, and ARC Studio.
