Dilip Buildcon Wins L1 Bid for ₹1,265-Cr Power Project

Dilip Buildcon Limited has secured a major milestone by emerging as the L1 (lowest) bidder for a ₹1,265-crore power transmission project in Maharashtra. Awarded on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis, the project involves establishing advanced 400-kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) infrastructure in the Solapur–Paranda region.

This strategic win marks a key diversification for Dilip Buildcon as it expands its footprint from traditional road construction into the high-growth power transmission sector. Beyond strengthening regional power grids and enabling efficient electricity transfer, the project is expected to generate robust supply-chain opportunities for electrical equipment manufacturers, EPC contractors, and technology providers. Formal award of the contract remains subject to standard regulatory procedures.
