EAPL Lights Up India with Rooftop Solar Boom

Eastman Auto & Power (EAPL) is poised to capitalize on the momentum generated by the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, with plans to significantly scale its rooftop solar business. The company aims to more than double the segment's revenue share—from 20% in FY25 to 40% in FY26.

Rooftop solar sales are projected to contribute ₹2,500–3,000 crore in FY26, bolstered by improved financing options, declining system costs, substantial government subsidies, and rising consumer awareness. EAPL is expanding its focus beyond residential to include commercial and industrial (C&I) segments, where demand for larger systems and integrated energy storage solutions is increasing.

Eastman currently operates with an installed capacity of 11 GW, with a roadmap to expand to 16 GW by FY26 and 34 GW by FY28. To support this growth, the company will invest ₹700–1,000 crore in capital expenditure over the next three years, fully funded through internal accruals.
