EdgeCortix, a fabless semiconductor company focused on energy-efficient AI processing at the edge, has secured a new investment from Axiro Semiconductor, a subsidiary of CG Power and Industrial Solutions, along with Japan-based MPower Partners.
The funding builds on a previously oversubscribed round and is aimed at strengthening the company’s position in AI inference technologies. It will support the development and commercialisation of EdgeCortix’s next-generation platforms for generative and agentic AI, including its upcoming SAKURA-X chiplet-based architecture, designed to deliver higher performance with lower power consumption for edge computing applications.
Axiro Semiconductor brings capabilities in RF, mmWave, and advanced connectivity IC design, with applications across telecom, satellite communications, defence, and AI-driven infrastructure. The company is also expanding into robotics, industrial systems, and consumer electronics.
The partnership is expected to accelerate EdgeCortix’s innovation pipeline while deepening collaboration between India and Japan in advanced semiconductor development, supporting the growth of next-generation AI hardware ecosystems.
