Final Stretch: ₹143 Cr Pettah Road Project Ready by Nov-End

The long-delayed Pettah–Anayara–Oruvathilkotta road development project is set for completion and will open to traffic by the end of November 2026, following the resolution of major construction bottlenecks by the Kerala Road Fund Board (KRFB).

Executed by the Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society (ULCCS) under KRFB’s project management unit, the ₹143.6-crore initiative is funded by the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB). The project had encountered significant delays over the past two years, primarily due to land acquisition disputes, underground utility shifting, and the relocation of two electrical transformers.

Works are currently in their final phase, with bituminous concrete surfacing and footpath tiling underway across designated stretches to meet the revised deadline.
