Fine Organics Project Makes Salts Shine in Maharashtra

Fine Organic Industries Limited (FOIL) will establish a Salts Manufacturing Unit at Plot No.E-73, Additional Patalganga MIDC, Raigad, Maharashtra. This strategic effort produces food-grade salts and preservatives, including propionic and acetic acid salts, essential bread ingredients, at 25,000 Metric Tonnes (MTA) per year for Rs. 40 crores.

The project uses spray drying for 10,000 MTPA and mixing for 15,000 MTPA for efficient and flexible manufacturing. FOIL's experience in food additives manufacture and Patalganga MIDC's well-established industrial infrastructure make this a logical extension of their product offering.

FOIL's initiative will increase manufacturing capacity to meet India's and maybe worldwide food additive demand. It also expects to create jobs throughout building and operation, boosting the local economy and industry. However, severe market rivalry, environmental concerns about waste management, and strict regulatory compliance need careful execution. FOIL's Salts Manufacturing Unit may boost the company's food additives reputation if it handles these problems with accuracy and quality and regulatory compliance.

 As on January, 2024. The project has begun the stage of receiving approvals. Clearances were obtained for the project. Work on the project is scheduled to begin in February of 2024.
