Fresh Land Acquisition Begins for 49.5-Km Kochi Outer Ring Road

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has initiated a fresh land acquisition process for the Kochi Outer Ring Road (ORR) project. Spanning 49.5 kilometers between Angamaly and Aroor, the corridor aims to strengthen regional infrastructure. Because previous surveys and notifications under Section 3(D) expired within the mandated one-year timeframe, new competent authorities have been appointed in Ernakulam and Alappuzha to resolve past bottlenecks and accelerate the implementation of this vital urban bypass.
