General Mills India has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Nashik with an investment of about ₹100 crore, aimed at increasing production capacity for its Pillsbury bakery range. The plant is the company’s second manufacturing unit in the city.
Situated in Maharashtra, the facility is equipped with advanced production technologies and built to meet global quality benchmarks, with a strong focus on food safety and optimal resource utilisation. According to the company, the new unit is designed to strengthen supply chain efficiency, shorten delivery timelines, and improve the availability of Pillsbury products to bakeries across the country.
The expansion is expected to create direct and indirect employment opportunities in manufacturing, logistics, and allied services in the Nashik region. It is also anticipated to boost demand for local suppliers of raw materials and support services, contributing to the broader economic growth of the area.
