Gas Giants Go Green: IGL and CEID Launch Biogas JV

Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) has entered into a 50:50 joint venture with CEID Consultants & Engineering to develop compressed biofuel (CBG) and compressed biogas projects.

The new entity will focus on establishing and operating biofuel assets as India expands its clean energy infrastructure. Both partners will hold equal equity, and the JV will initially be governed by a four-member board—two directors nominated by IGL and two by CEID.

The partnership reflects IGL’s strengthened commitment to sustainable energy and supports India’s broader push toward renewable and low-carbon fuel solutions.
