GE Power Bags Rs 243.46 Crore Contract for Power Plant Renovation

NTPC GE Power Services (NGSL) awarded GEPIL a Rs 243.46 crore project. LMZ Steam Turbines of Wanakbori Thermal Power Station's 210 MW Units 1 and 2 will be renovated and modernized under this contract. Improving efficiency and extending unit life are the major goals.

GEPIL will design, engineer, test, and commission the systems under the deal. The project should increase turbine efficiency by boosting heat rate. Within 33 months, the extensive work will be done. NTPC GE Power India and NTPC formed NGSL. NGSL was the lead bidder, while GEPIL joined the partnership as a joint venture partner, offering expertise and resources.

The successful acquisition of this project shows GEPIL and NTPC's technical and collaborative strengths. It also shows their dedication to improving India's power sector's energy efficiency and dependability. Renovation and modernization of Wanakbori TPS are essential to sustainable energy solutions.
