GG Tronics India Private Ltd (GGT), a subsidiary of CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd, has secured a ₹433 crore contract from Chittaranjan Locomotive Works for the supply and deployment of Kavach, India’s indigenous train collision avoidance system.
The order will be executed over a one-year period and includes the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of on-board Kavach equipment on locomotives, in accordance with specifications prescribed by the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO).
The contract also provides for an annual maintenance contract (AMC) for a period of 11 years, applicable from the fifth year onwards and priced at 3 per cent per annum. In addition, the scope of work covers complete wiring, harnessing, cabling, and integration with the locomotive Kavach system, the company said in a release.
