Ginger Blooms in Shillong: IHCL Debuts Brand in Meghalaya!

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a 90-key Ginger hotel in Shillong, marking the brand’s debut in Meghalaya.

The greenfield project supports IHCL’s expansion in the Northeast, where the company already has one hotel under development. Shillong—known for its vibrant culture and growing prominence as an administrative and economic centre under the Smart City programme—offers a strong fit for Ginger’s positioning that blends work and leisure.

IHCL’s Executive Vice President – Real Estate and Development, Suma Venkatesh, said, “Shillong, with its vibrant spirit, resonates with Ginger’s philosophy of blending work and play.” The new hotel will further strengthen IHCL’s presence in the region, catering to both business and leisure travellers.
