GK Energy has received a Letter of Empanelment (LoE) from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) for the supply and installation of 10,000 off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems.
Part of the large-scale Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana, this agricultural irrigation initiative includes pump capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP. The total order value stands at ₹235.92 crore (inclusive of GST), with execution scheduled within 60 days from the issuance of the work order or notice to proceed. This strategic deployment aims to rapidly scale solar-powered irrigation coverage across all participating districts.
By introducing decentralized, off-grid solar infrastructure, the project will improve water access and irrigation efficiency for local farmers. Ultimately, this initiative will drive sustainable agricultural development, reduce the farm sector's dependence on the conventional electricity grid, and strengthen long-term rural resilience across the state.
