Green Light for Growth: Sigachi Secures ToR for Major Pharma Facility

Sigachi Industries has received the Terms of Reference (ToR) from the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA), Andhra Pradesh, for its proposed manufacturing facility in Orvakal, Kurnool district. The facility will focus on Bulk Drugs, Drug Intermediates, and Specialty Chemicals.

Located on 25.09 acres at Plot No. A-10, Guttapadu-Orvakal Node, the project falls under Category B1 of Schedule 5(f) of the EIA Notification, 2006, covering the synthetic organic chemicals sector. With the ToR secured, the environmental clearance (EC) process is set to begin on 15 July 2025, followed by project development starting 01 August 2025.

This strategic expansion will bolster Sigachi’s API manufacturing capacity and strengthen its presence in both regulated and semi-regulated markets worldwide. The new facility is also expected to serve as a major export hub, contributing to India's growing role in the global pharmaceutical supply chain.
