Greening Bengaluru: Wabag Bags Major BWSSB Project

Bengaluru's water infrastructure is set for a major upgrade as VA Tech Wabag clinches a prestigious contract from the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB).

Building on its successful track record—including the delivery of Bellandur's Phase 1—Wabag will now execute Phase 2 of the Bellandur project alongside new facilities at Byramangala. The comprehensive project entails building a 100 MLD STP, a 25 MLD ultrafiltration-powered TTP, and a 60 MLD STP. Equipped with cutting-edge biological nutrient removal and eco-friendly biogas power generation, the plants are designed to optimize both water quality and operational efficiency. The 36-month construction phase will be followed by a seven-year commitment to operations and maintenance, reinforcing the company's long-standing dedication to sustainable urban water management.
