Gruner Renewable Energy to See ₹4,000 Crore Turnover from Reliance Contracts

Gruner Renewable Energy aims to increase its turnover from ₹100 crore to ₹4,000 crore in a year, marking a significant milestone for India's renewable energy sector. A massive order from Reliance Industries for 11 compressed biogas (CBG) facilities contributed to this parabolic ascent. Gruner, a dynamic CBG plant construction and maintenance company, is nearing completion of its ₹220 crore facility in Navsari, Gujarat. Asia's largest biogas plant will create 44 tons per day from paddy straw, pressmud, cane trash, and municipal solid waste.

The company has received orders worth ₹1,500 crore and expects more significant contracts. Gruner won 11 of Reliance's first 50 CBG plant tenders, with hopes of winning more in the next 50. Reliance Industries plans to blend CBG with compressed natural gas to improve its eco-friendly car fuel portfolio at its retail outlets nationwide. Gruner is also close to completing a crucial CBG plant manufacturing joint venture with a significant public sector firm. Gruner will retain 51% control of this partnership, reflecting its strategic push into green energy infrastructure.

Gruner, founded in February 2023 and based in Noida, uses BioEnergy of Germany's cutting-edge CBG plant technology. Future goals include producing biogas purification systems and studying the biomass briquetting and pelleting plant market. Gruner Renewable Energy's quick growth and aggressive development ambitions position it to transform India's renewable energy infrastructure.
