Gujarat ATS and Police Housing Get ₹203 Crore Investment

Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi presided over the e-Khatmuhurat (ground-breaking) ceremony for a series of security and housing projects worth ₹202.85 crore in Ahmedabad on February 9, 2026.

The projects include the construction of a state-of-the-art Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) building at Chharodi, a new police station at Bodakdev, and multiple police housing schemes. The overall investment also covers the development of dog kennels, training offices, and residential bungalows for State Reserve Police (SRP) personnel. Major components of the programme include the ATS building at Chharodi at a cost of ₹47.98 crore, the Bodakdev police station at ₹33.49 crore, police housing and PSI quarters at the Amraiwadi Police Line costing ₹74.62 crore, and additional housing at Kagdapith valued at ₹39.68 crore.

The new infrastructure is expected to significantly strengthen the operational capacity of the ATS and improve housing facilities for police personnel, reinforcing Gujarat’s security framework over the long term.
