HAL & Safran Sign Major CFM LEAP Engine Forgings Deal

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Safran Aircraft Engines have inked a multi-year agreement for the production and supply of superalloy turbine ring forgings for the CFM LEAP engine program. Announced at the Farnborough International Airshow, the high-performance components will be manufactured using near-net shape technology at HAL’s Ring Rolling facility (Foundry & Forge Division) in Bengaluru. Built to withstand extreme temperatures in engine rotating sections, these critical forgings enhance LEAP engine efficiency and reliability while bolstering India’s position in the global commercial aerospace supply chain.
